8/30/18:  The national average gasoline price remains near a four-year high, about 43 cents per gallon above last year's level.

8/30/18: Oil extends August climb, with U.S. crude benchmark prices topping $70 a barrel.

10/13/18: Oil prices fell to a one-year low.

12/7/18: The U.S. just became a net oil exporter for the first time in 75 Years dramatically cutting dependence on foreign oil. 

12/10/18: U.S. fuel  U.S. fuel prices fell to their lowest level this year.

12/24/18: Gas prices have been steadily falling since October and continue to drop. On Christmas Eve, the national average was $2.322 per gallon, setting a low for 2018, according to AAA.

1/4/19:  According to AAA, the national price for gasoline is $2.25. Nationally, that's the lowest since 2017.
